The Alachua County Republican Party's Pirate Party was a great success. Barry Sides and the Recliners played some great music, and Hill's BBQ cooked up some great fish, shrimp, cheese grits and other grub. The turnout was great (somewhere between 150 and 200 people), and the weather couldn't have been better if we had ordered it that way. The Prairie Creek Lodge was a beautiful venue, and the people with The Alachua Conservation Trust (a non-profit, private organization that owns it) were just wonderful to work with. We plan to do it again, next year.
